Experience the marvels of nature on an exhilarating full-day excursion to the Valdes Peninsula. This unforgettable journey will lead you to one of Argentina's Patagonian treasures, a wildlife sanctuary boasting astonishing biodiversity.

We depart early from Puerto Madryn, a city located on the Atlantic coast of Chubut province, and head towards the Valdes Peninsula, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its natural beauty and biodiversity.

Puerto Pirámides: Our first stop is at the Ecological Village of Puerto Pirámides. During the whale-watching season (from July to December), you'll have the chance to embark on an exhilarating excursion to spot Southern Right Whales from the boat, providing you with the opportunity to encounter these majestic cetaceans in their natural habitat.

If you visit during the summer, from Puerto Pirámides, you can also embark on a boat tour to observe marine wildlife. Additionally, those interested will have the option to enjoy snorkeling for half an hour, accompanied by an instructor.

Caleta Valdés: Continuing our itinerary through the peninsula, you'll have the opportunity to explore Caleta Valdés. This place boasts a uniquely fascinating geography and is chosen as a breeding ground by South American sea lions and Southern elephant seals. Moreover, during the spring and summer, it's a favorite spot for Magellanic penguins and other seabirds.

During the months of October and November, there is the possibility of spotting orcas, the oceans' top predators, which frequent the waters of the inlet in search of elephant seal pups.

Terrestrial Wildlife: While traversing the peninsula, you'll have the opportunity to spot a diverse range of terrestrial fauna, including guanacos, lesser rheas, pampas foxes, maras, and much more. The peninsula serves as a sanctuary for wildlife, and encounters are naturally unpredictable.

Punta Norte: Located in the northern sector of the Valdes Peninsula, Punta Norte is a coastal enclave of stunning beauty. Here, visitors have the opportunity to witness the natural spectacle of elephant seals and sea lions arriving during the breeding season. Moreover, Punta Norte is renowned for being one of the few places in the world where one can witness the breathtaking phenomenon of orcas hunting along the coast (March and April). With its imposing landscape and thrilling animal sightings, Punta Norte is an unforgettable destination for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.

OPTIONAL – San Lorenzo Ranch: Located north of the Valdes Peninsula, San Lorenzo Ranch is home to the world's largest continental colony of Magellanic penguins. Since the 1990s, hundreds of thousands of these charming animals have chosen its beaches for breeding and annual molting. In addition to this fascinating penguin population, San Lorenzo Ranch offers visitors the opportunity to indulge in a traditional Patagonian lamb barbecue lunch, adding an authentic touch to the visit.
